Morning dewdrops
Linger on the slightly damp grass,
Waiting for the sunny day to dry them out,
Waiting for the rainy day to wash them away,
Waiting for the cloudy day’s breeze to blow them dry,
Playing alongside them.
Morning leaves fall,
Not wanting to be overshadowed by the sun,
Nor wishing to be drenched through.
Morning in the backyard,
Dew makes the soil moist,
Fallen leaves add a splash of color to the grass,
A breeze makes the summer a bit cooler,
Making the morning feel just perfect.
