I watch Eagles soaring high,
Factories in the distance catch my eye.
I see the alleyways,
Planes flying across,
Jet streams trailing, crisscross.
I hear the dogs barking,
Birds singing their song,
Cicadas chirping all day long.
There’s the blazing sun,
And the gusty wind,
On the rooftop,
the heat’s unkind.
But then comes a breeze,
So refreshing and cool!
